Menlo Park, CA — Meta has launched its latest wearable tech: the Ray-Ban Display glasses, paired with a new accessory — the Meta Neural Band wristband. Introduced at Meta’s Connect event, the device is positioned as a leap in AI-integrated eyewear designed to help users stay connected without reaching for their phones.

The Ray-Ban Display glasses feature a full-color, high-resolution display embedded into the right lens. Rather than a constant heads-up display, the screen activates only when needed, allowing users to check messages, preview photos, access translations, or interact with Meta AI through brief visual cues. The design retains a classic look much like Ray-Ban’s Wayfarer style, with the display positioned to avoid obstructing the wearer’s view.

Key to the experience is the Meta Neural Band, an electromyography (EMG) wristband that detects subtle muscle signals on the wrist and translates them into commands — like swiping, pinching, or tapping gestures. These controls aim to reduce the need to touch the glasses themselves or use a phone, offering a more seamless interaction model.

Battery life is specified at around six hours of mixed use for the glasses, with the collapsible charging case extending total usable time to approximately 30 hours. The Neural Band itself offers up to 18 hours of battery life, and is designed to be comfortable for all-day use, complete with water resistance and multiple fitting sizes.

Feature highlights include live captions and translations during conversations, messaging via WhatsApp, Messenger and Instagram, viewfinder preview for photos and videos, and turn-by-turn pedestrian navigation in select cities. The product supports hands-free audio, microphone input, and voice controls as part of its functionality suite.

The Ray-Ban Display package (glasses plus wristband) is priced at $799 USD. It will be available in the United States from 30 September 2025 through select retailers. International rollouts are planned for early 2026, including major markets such as Canada, the UK, France, and Italy. The product will come in two frame sizes and at least two color options.

With this launch, Meta is pushing forward in its vision of wearable AI — combining hardware, gesture control, and display elements to shift daily interactions toward more natural and immediate forms of engagement.
