Honor is gearing up to launch its next flagship, the Magic 8 Pro, in China on October 15, and leaks have now laid bare a host of impressive specifications. The device is shaping up to be a serious contender in the premium smartphone space.

Display & Design

Leaked tips indicate the Magic 8 Pro will sport a 6.71-inch 1.5K quad-curved display with symmetric, thin bezels. For biometrics, the device is said to support dual systems: 3D face recognition and a 3D ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor.

Camera System

One of the standout leaks is the inclusion of a 200-megapixel telephoto sensor with a large f/2.6 aperture and 1/1.4-inch sensor size. Honor has hinted that this telephoto unit will feature 5.5 stops of CIPA image stabilization.
Alongside this, the camera setup is expected to include a 50MP primary sensor and a 50MP ultrawide module. The imaging will be enhanced by Honor’s AIMAGE Nox Engine, handling computational photography and AI processing.

Battery & Charging

The Magic 8 Pro is rumored to pack a 7,200 mAh battery, a notably high capacity for a flagship device. Paired with this is expected to be 120W wired fast charging. To boost efficiency, Honor may employ an AI-based voltage stabilization algorithm that reduces power draw by around 13%.

Chipset & Software

According to leaks and previous teasers, the device will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. It will run on MagicOS 10 out of the box, built atop Android 16.

AI & Additional Features

In recent teaser reveals, Honor confirmed the Magic 8 Pro will include a dedicated AI button, designed to trigger AI-driven features and shortcuts directly. One highlighted feature is Magic Color, which lets users restyle photos or videos by applying the color palette of one image to another.

Honor is positioning the new device as part of a shift into what it calls a “Dual-Engine AI era,” with enhanced on-device capabilities, optimized power consumption, and smarter processing.
