Bengaluru-based EV maker Ola Electric announced a major manufacturing landmark today: its one-millionth two-wheeler has rolled off the production line at its Futurefactory in Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu. The achievement comes less than four years after production began in 2021.
To mark the milestone, Ola has launched a special edition of its Roadster X series, dubbed Roadster X+. The special model sports a midnight blue paint scheme, contrasted with sporty red accents on the rims, battery pack, and dual-tone seat. Design touches include badges made from recycled copper waste and electroplated bar ends, showing the company’s increasing emphasis on sustainability.
Demand for Ola’s S1 scooter portfolio and its newer Roadster X motorcycles has driven production growth. The company says that scaling up its operations has been crucial in positioning it as India’s front-runner in electric two-wheelers.
At Ola’s annual “Sankalp” event, the company also announced new vehicle variants built around its 4680 Bharat Cell battery technology. The S1 Pro+ (5.2 kWh battery) and the Roadster X+ (9.1 kWh battery) have been priced at ₹1,69,999 and ₹1,89,999 respectively, with deliveries expected to begin during the upcoming Navratri festival.
Another addition to the line-up is the S1 Pro Sport, coming in two battery pack options—5.2 kWh and 4.0 kWh. This model is aimed at riders looking for performance and style. It’s set to be available from January 2026, with an introductory price of ₹1,49,999.
Analysts say this production milestone is a strong validation of Ola Electric’s strategy and its ability to engineer, manufacture, and deliver EVs at scale in India. The special edition Roadster X+ serves not only as a celebration of the achievement but also as a showcase of design, battery tech, and sustainability credentials.
Ola Electric’s success reflects rising consumer demand for electric mobility and increasing confidence in domestically manufactured EVs. The company says it sees this mark not as an endpoint but as proof of potential and a stepping stone towards further growth.
With these launches and production targets, Ola Electric is doubling down on its mission to push India toward cleaner, electric transportation — while trying to balance performance, value, and environmental responsibility.
